ABOUT THE ARTIST

Stephon Stewart
Filmmaker. Artist. Academic.

Stewart’s first film was distributed worldwide by Lionsgate. In between his artistic ventures, Stewart has continued his studies in astrophysics, researching the Universe and Climate Change. His concern for the future has directed him toward environmental ethics. Stewart’s hope for Global Transfiguration, is to inspire humanity to remain active in the clean energy transformation for Earth.

THE MESSAGE BEHIND THE ART

DRY

Earth will transform into a dead, barren planet if we continue depleting all our natural resources. Go solar and advocate for clean energy automobiles.

INFERNO

Inferno was inspired by NASA’s infrared radiation telescope images, showing an increase of carbon dioxide trapped in our atmosphere. Earth is becoming hotter each month, you’re not imagining things... in fact, 2019 was the hottest year on record on our planet.

WET

Water is life. Stop wasting our life source. Droughts are happening in third world countries, and our species can’t live without H2o.

GAIA

Gaia is the Greek goddess of Earth. Gaia symbolizes the perfect harmony between humans and Mother Nature, who provides us plants and oxygen. May we live symbiotically.

ELEMENTS

Gold and Silver were some of the first elements known to humanity and we have built our world's foundation on their value. We must continue to protect our most precious elements on Earth.

EPOCH

Epoch is a period of time in history, typically one marked by notable events.  Don't let Earth transform into the Sun. Human activities are changing Earth's natural greenhouse effect. Burning fossil fuels like coal and oil puts more carbon dioxide into our atmosphere. NASA has observed increases in the amount of carbon dioxide and other greenhouse gases in our atmosphere. Too much of these greenhouse gases can cause Earth's atmosphere to trap more and more heat. This causes Earth to warm up, and if we don’t take action, we can metaphorically become the Sun.

UNITY

Purple for peace, Pink for love…Imagine a world driven by our planet's best interests, not our own. We need to unify to fight Climate Change, and save future generations so they have a healthy planet.

ICE

Data from NASA's GRACE satellites show that the land ice sheets in both Antarctica & Greenland have been losing mass since 2002. The Arctic ice is shrinking at an alarming rate of 9% per year. This indicates that a massive collapse might be approaching. If the trend continues, the Arctic may well become ice-free in summer for the first time by 2050. It’s time for action!
